Weekly Report #5

Baseball:

The CHL League Championship is coming down to the last week of the season.  The Indian Hill Braves stand at 11-0 (16-4 overall) while the Wyoming Cowboys are 10-1 (16-4).  These two squads play each other this coming week.  Monday at Wyoming and Wednesday at Indian Hill.

Wyoming fell in one league contest to Deer Park on a 3 run HR from the Wildcats catcher, Jayce Parsons.  That is their only blemish on the Cowboys CHL schedule.  The Braves have run roughshod through the league with an undefeated slate.  Should be two great games on 5/6 and 5/8, weather permitting.

Softball:

The Taylor Yellowjacket softball dynasty continues with the team capturing its seventh (7) straight CHL crown and 96th straight CHL win.    Taylor is currently 14-0 (20-3).  Wyoming finished in second place with a current 11-2 (12-4) record.

Track:

The CHL league track meet will be held on May10 at Taylor HS. Based on times submitted to this website, the SID has determined that Indian Hill is the favorite for the Boys while Madeira is favored to win the Girls side.  Taylor has a strong team on both the boys and girls side and should vie for the runner up spot.  The wild card is Finneytown as no times have been posted on the site but they have a lot of strong track performers.

Taylor and Wyoming competed in the Best of the West meet this week.  Taylor girls finished in third place as a team while the Yellowjacket Boys finished 5th.  Several Wyoming tracksters finished in first place in the meet:

Girls Lacrosse:

Indian Hill is currently 9-3 for the year.  Wyoming, 10-4, and Mariemont, 9-5, also have strong squads this year.  All three teams should fair well in the state tournament.

Taylor is the only school that fields a Boys Volleyball team this year.  Wyoming, however, is looking into adding this for the 2025 spring season.  Taylor finished its regular season at 12-10 and now enters the state tournament.
