Website Update, Friday Morning 10/30


Our league teams are still going in four sports.

Saturday, Wyoming will host Valley View in the Division IV regional semi-finals. Also Saturday, Mariemont will travel to Springfield Shawnee in the Division IV regional semi-finals.  Friday will be three regular season games.  Reading will be at Madeira will be hosting Bethel-Tate.  Taylor will be at Harrison.

Both Taylor & Wyoming will be in Division II district finals Saturday.  For Wyoming, it is their 3rd straight year in the district finals.  The Cowboys are defending district champs.  In the  Wyoming win over Indian Hill this past Tuesday, a milestone was reached.  Cowboy coach Jim DeLong got his 300th career win!

Cross Country
Runners from Finneytown, Indian Hill, Madeira, Mariemont, Reading, Taylor, & Wyoming will compete at the regional championships Saturday.  The course in Troy is along the Great Miami River in a park near the high school football stadium.  Race times are under the cross country district story.

Girls' Soccer
Indian Hill, Madeira, & Mariemont will all be in district finals Saturday.  Details are in the Post Season story.  For Indian Hill, it will be their 12th straight district final game.  For Mariemont, it will be their 3rd straight district final.  Madeira has the longest streak.  It will the 14th year for the Amazons.  In 2011 was the first year for Division III in girls' soccer.  Madeira has been in the district finals every year.  In 2010, the last year of just D1 & D2, Madeira was Division II state champs.

Boys' Soccer
Mariemont & Wyoming have both moved on to regional semi finals.  They will be played on Wednesday. details are under the Post Season story. As of this posting the location of the games have not been determined.  For both teams, this is the second year in a row to make the regionals.
