Indian Hill boys' swimming & diving team capped off a successful and historic season by capturing the Division II state team title.  The Braves scored 224 points, 8 more than 2nd place Hunting Valley University School. It is the first swimming/diving championship in the school's history.  Along with the state championship, came two event state titles.  Freshman Gibson Holmes was part of both.  He won the 100 Butterfly with a time of 48.37.  The 200 Freestyle Relay were state champs with a time of 1:26.02.  Besides Holmes, Devin Edwards, Dan Edmonson, & Will Taylor were on that team.  The Braves had seven other podium finishes.  Holmes finished 2nd in the 200 Freestyle with a time of 1:39.25.  He was .09 behind 1st.  Taylor was 5th in the 200 with a time of 1:42.45.  In the 500 Freestyle, Taylor was 3rd 4:39.61 & Josh Pearson 7th (4:44.71).  In the 100 Butterfly, Will Ford was 8th (51.82).  Indian Hill had two other podium finishes in relays.  In the 400 Freestyle, the Braves were 2nd in 3:10.12, .56 behind 1st.  Relay members were Holmes, Pearson, Taylor, & Gabe Yin.  The 200 Medley Relay of Yin, Ford, Edwards, & Nick Bulas were 4th with a time of 1:37.50.  At the state championships, those who make the consolation finals also score points.  Here are the Indian Hill placers:

CHL girls' swim/dive teams had a good showing at the state meet.  Indian Hill was 4th with 100 points.  Wyoming was 6th with 88 points.  Mariemont was 23rd. The girls had six podium finishes.  Mikaela Elliott of Wyoming was 5th in the 200 Freestyle (1:53.4) & 6th in the 500 Freestyle (5:05.11).  Elliott was also on the 4th place 400 Freestyle Relay (3:38.49) with Libby Spera, Victoria Chesson, & Mia Hagenauer.  Indian Hill had podium finishes in all three relays with the same four girls: Kathy Zhao, Jillian Rice, Anna Palen, Isabella Pivor.  They were 6th in the 200 Freestyle (1:39.88), 3rd in the 400 Freestyle (3:35.68), & 5th in the 200 Medley (1:49.31)
