Regional Football Results


The regional quarter final games were held this past weekend.

Indian Hill ran up 449 yards in offense, 292 on the ground, as the Braves down Kenton 61-32 in Division IV play. Indian Hill had scores from offense, defense, & special teams.  Tre Lopez had scoring runs of 8 & 5 yards.  Lopez also had 75 yard kickoff return for a touchdown.  Duke Wyler had a 71 yard TD run, Amari Whitehead a 4 yard score, & Charlie Sumerel a 2 yard touchdown.  Alex Lindberg returned 2 interceptions for 17 yard scores each.  Luke Lundberg had this best game of the season kicking. Lundberg had field goals of 48 & 34 yards and was 7 for 7 in PAT kicks.  For the 3rd time in 4 years, the Braves (9-2) will be in the D4 regional semi-finals.

Wyoming kept the longest win streak in football in Ohio alive with a 49-18 win over Milton Union.  After a 303 yards rushing performance last week, Evan Prater followed it up with 217 yards & 5 TD runs.  Prater's scoring runs were 6, 43, 11, 1, & 10 yards.  He has had 8 TD runs in two weeks.  Prater also threw a scoring pass to Joop Mitchell for 29 yards.  CJ Hester added an 8 yard score.  AJ Washienko was 7 for 7 in PAT kicks.  The Cowboys (11-0) have won 26 games in a row and will be in the D4 regional semi finals for the 3rd straight year.

West Liberty Salem scored touchdown in each of the first three quarters to edge Madeira 21-14 in Division V.  The Tigers had a 14-0 lead at the half.  In the 3rd quarter, Madeira scored twice to close the gap.  Cannon Shafer had a 69 yard interception return for a score.  Jack Hanley's PAT was good.  Vincent Englert caught a 5 yard TD pass from Sam Autry.  Hanley PAT was good.  But the Mustangs fell short.  Madeira ends the season 8-3.
