Wyoming Girls' Golf, High Expectations For The Season

At the 2018 Division II Girls' Golf State Championship last October, Wyoming had just finished 4th place, the highest in school's history.  The team had to have good feeling knowing that their four scoring players were all underclassmen.  Fast forward to August 2019. This year's team has set high goals including returning to the state championship. The are led by senior captains Annabelle Walton and Victory Lee.  Annabelle is a four year starter and Victory has started three years after enrolling as a sophomore.  The Dulin sisters were a solid three & four for the Cowboys last season.  Sophia is a junior & Samara a sophomore. These four were the four best nine hole averages for the CHL schools last year.  The remaining spots on the team this year will be sophomores Lilly Marty, Maddie McMonigal, & Izzy Vegh and freshman Hannah Wagner.  Wyoming's 2019 schedule has some top Division I schools; Sycamore, Ursula, Loveland, Mount Notre Dame.  They also will be on some of the top courses in Southwest Ohio including Carmargo Country Club, Riversbend TPC, O'Bannon Country Club, and their home course Wyoming Golf Course.  Besides getting the 4th place finish at state last year, the Cowboys are defending sectional and district champs.  Their 2019 season begins Monday against league rivals Indian Hill & Madeira.
