Three Wrestlers Headed To State


Three league wrestlers are headed to state, one as a district champ.

Division II
John Mark Williams will be making a return trip to the state championships.  The Indian Hill senior was runner-up in the 170 pound weight class.  Last year, Williams had a 7th place finished 170. He has a 45-3 record for the season. Sophomore Jacob Bryan of Wyoming was 4th in the 113 weight class.  He will be making his first trip to state.  His record this season is 34-10.  Nathan Bryan of Wyoming had a 6th place finished at the district.

Division III
Colton Robins of Reading won the district 132 weight class. The senior had 3 pins in his 4 district matches finishing up with a 10-2 major decision in the district final.  Robins has 34-2 record and will be making his first trip to the state championships.

The state championships will be at Ohio State University Thursday through Saturday.  Session 1 will be Thursday at 3:00.  Friday, Session 2 will be at 10:00 am & Session 3 at 6:30.  Saturday, the consolation matches will begin at 10:00 am.  The finals in all divisions will start at 5:30.
