Football Playoff Results


Division VI
Deer Park was making their first trip to the playoffs in 11 years.  The 8th seeded Wildcats had to travel to #1 seed Coldwater.  The Cavaliers hold the state's longest streak in the playoffs, 22 straight years.  That includes 6 state championships in the last 13 years.  They shown why they are the 2nd rank D6 team in the state as they down the Wildcats 49-14.  Deer Park end the season 7-4, their best since 2007.

Division V
Madeira was making their first trip to the playoffs since 2014.  The 4th seeded Mustangs hosted #5 Jamestown Greeneview.  The two teams played it close all night.  Madeira scored 
first on a Tyler Richmond to Lee Megois pass for 65 yards.  Ryan Lienhart'a PAT made it 7-0.  Greeneview answered with a touchdown but miss the PAT kick.  Madeira scored again on a Richmond to Ryan Hamm pass for 17 yards.  Lienhart's PAT made it 14-6 Madeira after the 1st quarter.  In the 2nd quarter, the Rams scored another touchdown and made the 2 point conversion to tie the score at 14 all at the half.  In the 3rd quarter, Greeneview took their first lead of the game 21-14. Madeira tied it with a Johnathan Thiele 1 yard run & a Leinhart PAT.  In the 4th quarter, the Rams scored another TD to go up 28-21.  The Mustangs answered with a Richmond 1 yard run & Lienhart's PAT.  With the scored tied at 28 all, Greeneview scored on a 25 yard field goal in the final seconds to win 31-28.  Madeira finishes the season 7-4, their best record since 2014.

Division IV
Indian Hill the #4 seed, had 484 yards offense and a season high in points downing #5 Waverly 63-28.  The potent backfield of Dimetrious Baylor & John Mark Williams had over 250 yards rushing and 4 
touchdowns. Baylor had 173 yards & scoring runs of 62 & 26 yards.  Williams had TD runs of 1 & 2 yards.  Cole Dein had TD passes to Trey Lopez for 31 yards & Amari Whitehead for 10 yards.  Lopez also scored on 7 yard run.  Whitehead had a 94 yard kickoff return for a score.  Will Klekamp had a 1 yard TD run.  Luke Lundberg was 9 for 9 in PAT kicks.  The 9 & 2 Braves move on to the regional semifinals.

The Wyoming defense gave up two touchdowns in each of their first two games of the season.  In the last nine games they have given up a total of six touchdowns.  The #1 seeded Cowboys cruised to a 48-7 win over #8 Springfield Northwestern.  Evan 
Prater shown why he is the CHL Offensive Player of the Year.  He was 14 for 16 passing for 204 yards, a TD pass and 80 yards on the ground with TD runs of 4, 18, & 5 yards. His TD pass was to Perry McMichen of 30 yards.  Pierson Rogers had 130 yards rushing and scoring runs of 2 & 5 yards.  On defense, Brennan Pagen had a fumble recovery for a score. AJ Washienko had 6 PAT kicks.  
The 11-0 Cowboys move on to the regional semifinals.  

In the D4 regional semifinal game, Indian Hill & Wyoming will meet for the second time in three weeks.  The game will be played on Saturday at 7:00 at Lakota West High School.  Tickets are available at both schools.
