Wyoming Golfers Headed To State

It certainly has been a banner year for Wyoming golf.  it will continue one more week as both boys' and girls' teams have qualified for the Division II State Championships.

After winning the girls' sectional last week, Wyoming captured the district title this week.  The Cowboys had a score of 366, 10 strokes better than 2nd place National Trail.  Sophia Dulin for the 2nd straight week led Wyoming with a 5th lace score of 87.  Tied for 6th was Victory Lee (88).  Tied for 18th was Annabelle Walton with a 94. Smart Dulin had a 97.  Greta Warmer was the 5th golfer.  Wyoming will play on Friday & Saturday October 12 & 13 at the Gray Course at Ohio State University.  The state championship is a 36 hole event.

Wyoming boys' finished in the 3rd and final qualifying spot with a score 320.  Alter was 1st with a 35 & Oakwood 2nd with a 318.  Dylan Stevens was 3rd overall with a 75.  Thomas Stickeny was tied for 10th with an78.  Sam Randman was tied for 16th with an 80.  Sam Black had an 87.  Hayden Fischer was the 5th golfer (91).  Marimeont was 8th.  Andrew Getgey was tied for 10th with a 78.  Jack Neville was tied for 16th with an 80.  Max Northrop had an 86 and Tom Buchert & Ben Colin both had an 88.  Peter Sheakley (84) & Trey Skidmore (87) were the two Indian Hill golfers.
Wyoming will play Friday & Saturday October 12 & 13 at the Scarlet Course at Ohio State University.  The state championship is a 36 hole event.
