CHL Goes 1-2 At State Diving


League divers took the top two spots on the podium at the Division II Boys' State Diving Championships in Canton.  Noah Vigran from Indian Hill defended his championship from last year easily winning this year's title.  His score of 584.45 broke his own state tourney record from last year.  He set the state record last week at the district championships.  The Stanford bound senior has been heads above all other Division II divers in Ohio the last two years.  He completes four straight years on the podium at the state meet.  His sophomore year, he was runner-up and as a freshman, he finished 6th.  Illusha Gerasimchuk of Wyoming was making his third trip to state.  His freshman year he was 23rd.  Sophomore year found him up to 14th.  This year, the junior was runner-up with a score of 440.30.  Gerasimchuk was .15 point ahead of 3rd. Freshman Nathan Cox of Mariemont finished 12th. Junior Jacob Cox of Mariemont was making his 3rd trip to state.  The last two years he was 19th & 23rd.  This year he finished 13th.  Freshman Pavel Gerasimchuk of Wyoming was 19th.

The league girls had two returning divers to the 
state meet.  Lexi Magenheim of Indian Hill was 23rd in 2017 & 18th in 2016.  The junior was the highest place finisher for CHL athletes as she finished 13th with a score 358.05.  Kyleigh Spang of Mariemont was 20th last year at state.  The junior moved up to 17th this year.  Junior Adrienne Storer of Wyoming was making her first trip to state.  She finished 23rd.
