Indian Hill Wins CHL Wrestling Title


Indian Hill snapped Reading's 12 year win streak in wrestling.  The Braves scored 220 points to win their first ever CHL wrestling title.  Taylor was 2nd with 187 points.  Defending champ Reading was 3rd with 150 points.  Madeira was 4th, Wyoming 5th, Deer Park 6th, & Mariemont 7th.

Indian Hill placed top four wrestlers in 13 of 14 weight classes including 4 league champs.  Brave weight class winners were Cooper Lesczuk (113), Spencer Mangialardo (120), John Mark Williams (171), Will Steuerwald (182).
Taylor had their best finish in years.  The Yellowjackets had top four placers in 11 weight classes.  Taylor league champs were Josh Kurre (195), Ricky Hammond (220), & Logan Shinkle (285).  Ryan Williams of Taylor was named Coach of the Year.  
Defending champ Reading had 8 top four placers with weight class champs from Wilber Compress (106), Dustin Robins (132), Colton Robins (138), & Issia Johnson (145).
Madeira's Jackson Hugentobler won the 126 weight class and along the way past 100 career wins.
Wyoming's Yima Nyamor won the 152 weight class.  The senior was named Wrestler of the Year.  Teammate Ethan Tefs won the 160 weight class.
