16 League Divers Moving On to Districts, Led By Vigran's State Record


The CHL will be well represented at the Division II diving championships.  A total of 16 qualified including 4 sectional champs.  Divers in the top two in each sectional automatically qualify plus additional at large divers from all of the sectionals.

Nine girls won spots in the district championships.  In the PM Mason Sectional, Lexi Magenheim of Indian Hill was 1st with 401.25 points. Kyleigh Spang of Mariemont was 2nd.  In the Mason AM Sectional, Sophia Davenport of Madeira was 2nd.  In the Cincinnati Sectional, Adrianne Storer of Wyoming was 1st with 344.35 points.  Additional qualifiers are Samantha Bonell (Mariemont), Grayson Slusher (Madeira), Ellie Hunt (Mariemont), Jill Venderbush (Mariemont), & Olivia Wolfe (Taylor)

The boys will have seven divers at the districts.  Defending Division II state champ Noah Vigran of Indian Hill started his post season in big way.  The senior broke his own state record scoring 616.85 points in the Mason Sectional.  Nathan Cox of Mariemont was 2nd.  In the Cincinnati Sectional, two brothers from Wyoming claimed the top two spots.  Illusha Gerimshuck won with 495.85 points.  Pavel Gerimshuck was 2nd. Additional qualifiers are Jared Cox (Mariemont), Ethan Morris (Indian Hill), & Ben Parker (Wyoming).

The Division II District Diving Championships will be on Monday, February 12 at Miami University starting at 6:00.
