Madeira Loses A Close One, Indian Hill Moves On In Girls' Soccer


Indian Hill and Madeira were both playing the regional championships. 

In Division II,  the state's #1 ranked Indian Hill Braves beat Tippecanoe 4-1. Morgan Jackson had the "hat trick" with 3 goals.  Margo David added a 4th goal.  Kate Marrs allowed only 1 goal.  In the 5 post season games, Marrs has allowed only 4 goals.  Three of those were on penalty kicks.

In Division III, Madeira, #7 in the state, took on the number 1 team in the state, Summit Country Day.  The Amazons played the Silver Knights tough but came up short 1-0.  Madeira finishes a great season 16-5-0.

Indian Hill (20-0-1) will meet Sunbury Big Walnut (16-2-4) in the state semi-final on Tuesday at 7:00 at Kettering Fairmont High School.  Big Walnut was ranked 15th in the state in the final poll and are making their first appearance in the final four.  Indian Hill is returning to the final four for the 7th time.  The last time was in 2015.  They also had final four appearances in 2012. 2011. 2010, 2004, 2003.  In 2003 & 2004, they were state runner-ups.  Coach Amy Dunlap has been a part of each of the Brave's final fours.
