Web Stories Picking Up, Saturday Update


The number of web stories will be plentiful for the next few weeks.  A reminder that only five stories can be viewed on the web front page.  Several active stories are below those stories that can be seen.

Saturday News
At the state Division II tennis championships, Gracey & Hayley Hirsch of Indian Hill made it to the semi-finals Saturday. Complete state results will be posted later Saturday. Check Twitter throughout the day.
Five boys' sectional soccer games involving seven league schools will be played Saturday.
Four sectional volleyball matches will be played Saturday.
Cross country districts will be held Saturday at Voice of America Park in West Chester.  League teams will run in the afternoon.  See related story for schedules.
As each sport is finished for the season, the all league selections will be posted.  The only exception is cross country.  In that sport, where you place at the league championships determines all league.  So boys & girls cross country all league are posted along with boys' golf.
Indian Hill will be in state team final four for the 4th time in the last 5 years.  They play Hathaway Brown in the semi-finals on Sunday.
Indian Hill is the #1 Division II team in the state in the final Division II girls' soccer poll.
Wyoming volleyball secured their 8th straight league title.  The Cowboys finished up 14-0 in league play and 112 league wins in a row.  The last time Wyoming lost a league volleyball game was on October 15, 2009 (to Indian Hill).  This year's seniors were in 4th grade!
Football winners Friday were Indian Hill, Madeira, Reading, & Wyoming.  The 62 points that Reading scored is the most for a Blue Devil team since August 24. 2001 when they beat Lockland 70-0.
