Wyoming Wins Boys' League Golf Title

The league championship for boys' golf was postponed last week because of rain.  It was held at the same time the sectional tourney was held at the Mill Golf Course at Winton Woods. Wyoming was 1st with a score of 320.  Indian Hill was 2nd with a 327 & Mariemont 3rd with a 330. Taylor was 4th, Madeira 5th, Finneytown 6th, & Reading 7th.  The league champion is determined by a point system;  one point for each team you beat at the league preview, two points for each team you beat during the regular season, and two points for each team you beat the league championship tournament.  Wyoming was a wire to wire winner of the league title finishing with 30 out of a possible 30 points, For the Cowboys, it was their 3rd league title in a row & the 5th out of the last 6 years.  It was Wyoming's 12th overall CHL title, all coming since the year 2000.  Indian Hill was 2nd in the standings with 23 points, one better than 3rd place Mariemont.  Despite being shut-out in points at the league preview, Taylor managed to come in 4th place with 12 points.  Madeira was 5th (11), Finneytown 6th (6), & Reading 7th (1).

Two golfers stepped up their game at the league/sectional championships.  Henry Lewis of Mariemont was league medalist with a 74.  Sam Randman of Wyoming was runner-up with a 75. Dylan Stevens (Wyoming) & Trey Skidmore (Indian Hill) tied for 3rd with 77s.  Alex Major of Indian Hill was 5th with an 80.
