Fall Weekly Update 10/16 - 10/22

Golf is done for the season.  Everyone except football is in post season, with tennis players going for state titles this week. Stat leaders are posted. Complete stats can be found under each sport's link.

This is the last week for stat leaders to be posed except for football.

FOOTBALL

Wyoming (5-0, 8-0), Indian Hill (5-0, 7-1) stay in tie for 1st. 

In the five SID Games of the Week this season, two have been close and three have been blowouts.  The Wyoming - Reading game was the latter as the Cowboys broke open the game in the 2nd half and won 48-14.  Wyoming's Pierson Rogers was in on four touchdowns.  Rogers scored on runs of 78 & 12 yards.  He also threw a TD pass to Perry McMichner 21 yards and caught a pass a pass for 59 yards from Evan Prater.  Prater also connected with Camden O'Gara for 36 yards.  Josh Malone had a 52 yard interception return for a score.  For Reading, Johnny Miller pass to Tanner Cromer for 49 yards.  Miller scored on a 3 yard run.

Madeira had its highest scoring game of the season winning 55-14 over Deer Park.  Adam Wieczorek had a season high 173 yards rushing and TD runs of 4,23, 2, & 5 yards. Tyler Richmond was 9 for 10 passing for 205 yards and touchdown passes to Jack Cravaack (72yards) & Wieczorek (23 yards).  Andrew Whitson had a 2 yard & 6 yard score.  Nolan Herron  30 yard TD run & Sam Autry a 63 yard score.  Ryan Lienhart was 6 for 6 in PAT kicks.  Deer Park's two scores came on a Deshawn McEntire 85 yard kickoff return. and a Jerry Heard 4 yard run.

Mariemont defense had their 3rd shut out of the season as the Warriors blank Taylor 35-0.  Wally Renie was 13 for 27 passing for 271 yards & 3 TD passes.  Two of them went to Charlie 
Coward for 22 & 60 yards.  Brady Holliday had a TD pass for 50 yards.  Alec Vianello scored on a 35 yard run.  M.J. Griesmer had a 31 yard interception return.  Cameron Hollander was 5 for 5 in PAT kicks.

Indian Hill beat Finneytown 49-13.  Cole 
Dean was 18 for 20 passing for 298 yards.  Two of them were to Colin Shaw for scores.  Tennyson Holmes had 2 TD runs and Trey Lopez added another.  John Mark Williams had a 99 yard kick off return.  Luke Lundberg was 7 for 7 in PAT kicks.

We have no SID Game of the Week this week.  Instead, if Wyoming wins at Mariemont and Indian Hill wins at Deer Park, that will set up a week 10 show down between the Cowboys & Braves for the league title.  Madeira will be at Finneytown and Taylor at Reading.  The Taylor-Reading game will be on ICRC TV.

VOLLEYBALL

Note- Reading home games will be at the Central Building, with the gym entrance off of Jefferson Avenue.
Wyoming finished another undefeated season, their 8th in a row, 14-0.They have won 112 straight matches.  Wyoming is 21-2 overall.  It is their 8th straight league championship, now the longest volleyball league streak in CHL history.  The 8 straight titles is also the 8th longest in CHL history and the 3rd longest active streak. Indian Hill & Taylor are each 17-5 overall.

Indian Hill has a 7-0-0 league mark & 14-0-1 overall. For the Braves, it is their 5th league title in row and their 14th overall CHL title. They are also #1 in the state in Division II.   Mariemont is 12-3-1 overall, Madeira 12-4-0, & Taylor 8-5-3

Mariemont & Wyoming tie for the league title with 5-1-1 league marks. The Warriors are 8-4-4 overall & the Cowboys 9-3-4.  Madeira is 10-4-2 overall, Finneytown 9-3-4, & Taylor 8-6-2.  For Mariemont, it is their 3rd title in a row and 5th overall in the CHL.  For Wyoming, it is the 2nd title in 4 years and 7th overall in the CHL.

GIRLS' GOLF

Our new link this year,girls' golf, is a non league sport.  Only three schools, Madeira, Taylor, & Wyoming have teams. The website will show won/lost records, schedules, & stats.
Wyoming is 14-5 overall.  Check out the story on the district championships.

The girls' golf season is complete.

BOYS' GOLF
Points determined the league champion. A team gets 1 point for each team you beat in the league preview and 2 points for each team you beat during regular season matches and at the league championships.

Wyoming is league champ with a perfect score of 30 points.  Check out League championship & district championship stories.
Junior Dylan Stevens of Wyoming finished tied for 19th at the state championship.  His score was a 156 for 36 holes.

The boys' golf season is complete.

GIRLS' TENNIS

Indian Hill is 5-0 in the league & 14-4 overall.  The Braves have won 21 straight league titles, the longest active streak in the CHL.  It is also the 2nd longest streak in CHL history.   Wyoming (4-1, 11-4) is 2nd.  Mariemont is 16-3 overall & Madeira is 9-5.

Seven players from Indian Hill & Wyoming will be at the state championships on Friday & Saturday.  See related story.  Also, Indian Hill will be in the Division II Team Tennis Final Four this coming Sunday.  More on that tourney later in the week.
