Final Fall Weekly Update

This is the final week for the fall weekly update.  Stat leaders are posted for football. Complete stats can be found under each sport's link.

FOOTBALL

Wyoming won the league title with a 7-0 league mark and 10-0 overall.  It is the second year in a row that the Cowboys had a perfect 10-0 regular season. They have won 21 straight regular season games since 2015.  That includes 15 straight league games.  Wyoming has won the CHL title for the 2nd year in a row and the 4th out of the last 5 years.  It is their 16th overall CHL championship.  Indian Hill finished 2nd (6-1, 8-2) and Reading 3rd (5-2, 7-3).

As we said before, the SID Game of the Week lived up to its hype.  In front of a sell out crowd and the "Blitz 5 Game of the Week" Indian Hill was at Wyoming to decide the league championship.  The Braves got on the board first on a Luke Lundberg 36 yard field goal.  In the 2nd quarter Wyoming QB Evan Prater scored on a 5 yard run & Sergio Listo PAT gave the Cowboys a 7-3 lead.  Pierson Rogers scored on a 1 yard run.  The 2 point PAT failed and Wyoming was up 13-3.  Indian Hill would score back to back touchdowns on a Cole Dein pas to Collin Shaw for 25 yards & a John Mark Williams 27 yard run  Lundberg's PATs made it 17-13 Indian Hill at the half.  In the 3rd quarter, Rogers gave the lead back to Wyoming on a 14 yard run  The PAT failed and the Cowboys were up 19-17.  In the 4th quarter, Shaw caught his 2nd TD pass (15 yards) from Dein & the Lundberg PAT made it 24-19 Indian Hill.  Rogers scored his 3rd touchdown of the night on 33 yard run.  The 2 point PAT failed giving Wyoming a 1 point lead 25-24.  Rogers came back with his 4th scoring run, this one for 8 yards.  It made the final score 31-24 Wyoming.  This is the 3rd time this season that Pierson Rogers had a 4 touchdown game.

Reading secured a spot in the play offs with their 7th win of the season 55-7 over Finneytown.  Adryian Simmons had his best game of the season rushing for 23 yards on 27 carries.  He scored on runs of 2, 23, & 11 yards.  Johnny Miller for 7 for 11 in passing with 3 of those completions going for scores.  Gabe Van Skait caught 2 for 20 & 8 yards and Mancini Jackson one for 17 yards.  Cameron Moore had a 13 yard run for a TD and Keonte Sanders a 20 yard score.

Mariemont defense had their 4th shut out of the season and the Warrior offense had their best game of the season with a 62-0 win over Deer Park.  Alec Vianello had 173 yards rushing on 15 attempts.  He scored five times on runs of 9, 38, 4, 20, & 77 yards.  Vianello got his 6th TD of the game on a 16 yard fumble recovery.  Wally Renie had TD passes to Brady Holiday for 32 yards & Charlie Cowart for 13 yards.  Jacob Gunner had a 20 yard run for score.

Madeira finished the season at .500 with a 41-6 win over Taylor.  Adam Wieczorek had a career high five touchdowns.  He scored on runs of 6, 2, 6, 17, & 9 Yards.  Johnathan Thiele had a 67 yard run for the Mustangs.  Taylor's score came on a Collin Baines 42 yard run.

VOLLEYBALL

Wyoming finished another undefeated season, their 8th in a row, 14-0.They have won 112 straight matches.  Wyoming is 21-2 overall.  It is their 8th straight league championship, now the longest volleyball league streak in CHL history.  The 8 straight titles is also the 8th longest in CHL history and the 3rd longest active streak. Indian Hill & Taylor are each 17-5 overall.

GIRLS' SOCCER
Indian Hill has a 7-0-0 league mark & 14-0-1 overall. For the Braves, it is their 5th league title in row and their 14th overall CHL title. They are also #1 in the state in Division II.   Mariemont is 12-3-1 overall, Madeira 12-4-0, & Taylor 8-5-3

BOYS' SOCCER
Mariemont & Wyoming tie for the league title with 5-1-1 league marks. The Warriors are 8-4-4 overall & the Cowboys 9-3-4.  Madeira is 10-4-2 overall, Finneytown 9-3-4, & Taylor 8-6-2.  For Mariemont, it is their 3rd title in a row and 5th overall in the CHL.  For Wyoming, it is the 2nd title in 4 years and 7th overall in the CHL.

GIRLS' GOLF
Our new link this year,girls' golf, is a non league sport.  Only three schools, Madeira, Taylor, & Wyoming have teams. The website will show won/lost records, schedules, & stats.
Wyoming is 14-5 overall.  Check out the story on the district championships.

BOYS' GOLF
Points determined the league champion. A team gets 1 point for each team you beat in the league preview and 2 points for each team you beat during regular season matches and at the league championships.

Wyoming is league champ with a perfect score of 30 points.  Check out League championship & district championship stories.

GIRLS' TENNIS

Indian Hill is 5-0 in the league & 14-4 overall.  The Braves have won 21 straight league titles, the longest active streak in the CHL.  It is also the 2nd longest streak in CHL history.   Wyoming (4-1, 11-4) is 2nd.  Mariemont is 16-3 overall & Madeira is 9-5.

GIRLS' CROSS COUNTRY
Wyoming is the girls cross country champion.  Mariemont was runner up. 


BOYS' CROSS COUNTRY
Madeira is the league champ.  Indian Hill was runner up.
