Final Winter Weekly Update 2/20- 2/25

Our last week for weekly winter updates.  All sports are now in post season.  Stat leaders are posted for boys' basketball & wrestling.  Additional stats can be found under each sports' links.

GIRLS' BASKETBALL

Mariemont finished the season with a perfect 14-0 record giving them back to back league titles. The Warriors are 20-3 overall and now won 29 straight league games over three seasons. Madeira finished 2nd (12-2, 19-4).

BOYS' BASKETBALL
Wyoming finishes league play with a 13-1 record.  The Cowboys are 21-1 overall.  They won their 4th straight league title and their 9th overall in CHL history.  Wyoming is on an 8 game win streak.  Indian Hill (11-3, 18-4) & Madeira (11-3, 13-9) tied for 2nd.  Mariemont was 4th with a 9-5 league mark & 16-6 overall.
Some results from last week...
Deer Park 106 Riverview East 37  Mark Wise had a season high 38 points.  Ibrahima Athie had 27 points & 16 rebounds.  Jalen Rose added 23 points.

Indian Hill 51 Amelia 36  Marco Fiore had a 23 season high 23 points.  Collin Shaw added 14 points.

WRESTLING
Reading won its 12th straight league championship.  Indian Hill was 2nd marking the highest place the Braves have finished in the CHL wrestling championships.

BOYS' SWIMMING/DIVING
Congratulations to Indian Hill for winning the league title.  The Braves snapped Wyoming's 10 year league title streak.

The state championships will be held this week.

GIRLS' BOWLING
Reading is 13-5 and Deer Park is 6-4.

BOYS' BOWLING
Taylor is 11-6.  Deer Park is 8-3.
